Article II. TRANSIENT MERCHANTS |
§ 12-24. Same—Grounds for denial.
The director shall deny a permit under this article whenever the director finds that the applicant or its principal officers:
(1)
Are under eighteen (18) years of age.
(2)
Have been convicted of a felony within the last five (5) years.
(3)
Have been convicted or found in noncompliance by the code enforcement special magistrate of a violation of this article or any similar ordinance or had a permit revoked under this article or any other similar ordinance of this or any other county in the State of Florida.
(4)
Do not have confirmed permission in writing from the owner of the property to operate the business, for which the application is being made, on the property.
(5)
Have requested a permit location which lies within the distance requirements established in subsection 12-22(a)(2), which requires a specific distance requirement from any customary entrance of any established permanent business which sells the same or similar type of products or services to be sold under the permit, or within a zoning district not permitting such activity.
