§ 7-92. Public hearing—Procedure; conduct.
(a)
Any interested party, including duly appointed county officials, may file with the board written charges against a certificate holder alleging grounds for disciplinary action.
(b)
Based on the recommendation of the county attorney, the board shall schedule a public hearing to inquire into the facts upon which the charges are based. The public hearing shall be held only after at least ten (10) days' written notice of the time and place of the hearing to the certificate holder against whom the charges are made and to the person filing the charges. Notice to the certificate holder shall be given by certified mail to his last address known to the board and shall include a brief description of the charges.
(c)
The board chairman shall conduct the hearing. In his absence, the ranking board member present shall preside. A quorum of the board must be present to conduct a hearing. If a quorum is not present, the hearing shall be rescheduled to a later date.
