§ 3-2. Hours of sale and consumption.

  • (a)

    The sale of alcoholic beverages at any time by any person other than as authorized by this section is prohibited.

    (b)

    Except as provided in subsections (c), and (f), the sale of alcoholic beverages within the unincorporated areas of the county is authorized to commence on every day at 7:00 a.m. and continue until 2:00 a.m. of the following day.

    (c)

    An exception to the authorized hours of sale of alcoholic beverages as set out in subsections (b) and (f) shall be that no alcoholic beverages shall be sold on Christmas Day until the regular authorized opening sale time on December 26. The intention of this subsection is that no alcoholic beverages be sold during Christmas Day and Christmas night of each year.

    (d)

    With respect to places wherein the sale of alcoholic beverages is permitted for on-premises consumption, such consumption shall be prohibited during the same times that sales are prohibited, except for the thirty (30) minute period immediately following the designated time that sales must cease.

    (e)

    It is unlawful for any person or persons to consume any alcoholic beverages within three hundred (300) feet from any establishment which has an alcoholic beverage license providing for package sales only.

    (f)

    The provisions of subsection (b) to the contrary notwithstanding, and except as provided in subsection (c), the sale of alcoholic beverages at any limited hours establishment is authorized to commence on every day except Sunday at 7:00 a.m. and continue until 11:00 p.m., and to commence on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and continue until 11:00 p.m.
