§ 2.3-20. Contents of license; term of license; renewal; expiration; lapse.

  • (a)

    Contents. An adult entertainment establishment or sexually oriented business license shall state on its face the name of the licensee, the name of the establishment, the street address of the establishment, the classification of the license, the date of issuance, and the date of expiration.

    (b)

    Term. All licenses shall be annual licenses which shall commence on October 1, or on the date of issuance for the initial year, and shall expire on the succeeding September 30. If a license is issued after October 1, but by March 31 of the following year, the applicant shall pay the appropriate license fee in full. If a license is issued after March 31, but by October 1 of the same year, the applicant shall pay one-half (½) the appropriate license fee.

    (c)

    Expiration; renewal; lapse. Each license shall expire on September 30 of each year and may be renewed only by making an application for a license in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. Applications for renewal shall be made at least thirty (30) days before the expiration date of the license. Failure to make application at least thirty (30) days before the expiration date will not suspend the expiration of the license. If the application for a renewal is denied, the applicant may immediately seek review of the denial in a court of competent jurisdiction, which court shall promptly review said denial.
