§ 18.3-216. Age eligibility.

  • Proof of age shall be prima facie established for persons sixty-two (62) and older by submission of one (1) of the following:

    (a)

    Certified copy of birth certificate;

    (b)

    Current drivers license or Florida identification card;

    (c)

    Current passport;

    (d)

    Life insurance policy in effect for more than two (2) years;

    (e)

    Marriage certificate;

    (f)

    Permanent resident card (formerly known as alien registration card);

    (g)

    Certified school records; or

    (h)

    Certified census record.

    In the absence of one (1) of these forms of identification, the property appraiser may rely on appropriate proof. The property owner's sworn application shall attest to the accuracy of such copies.
