§ 18.3-72. Referendum.

The following question was placed upon the ballot at the regular election to be held on November 8, 1988:

Referendum Regarding the Levy of a Two (2) Cent Tourist
Development Tax in Clay County

Shall a tourist development tax of two (2) cents per dollar be levied on all rent or lease payments to any facility, including but not limited to hotels and motels, for providing living quarters or accommodations for six (6) months or less, to fund any purpose authorized under Section 125.0104, Florida Statutes (1987), including but not limited to promoting tourism in Clay County?

Ordinance No. 88-69 shall not take effect unless a majority of the electors voting on the question approve the tax levy. I approved, the commencement and effective date of the levy shall be the 1st day of the second month following the approval of the ordinance by referendum.
