§ 17-1. County library director.

The responsibility for operating and maintaining the county free public libraries shall be delegated to a county librarian director, who shall be qualified according to the standards established by the board of county commissioners as recommended by the public library board of trustees. The county librarian shall be considered an ex-officio member of the trustee board and shall have charge of the administration of the public libraries, subject to the review of the board of trustees. The librarian shall attend all board meetings and may serve as secretary to the board.
